In 1993 the Club decided to extend the course to eighteen holes. In order to do this a bridge had to be built across the river and, almost a century to the day that the course originally opened, the new course was opened to members and the public. The new course runs on either side of the River Tay and has the unique attraction of allowing players to cross the historic river via its own private bridge, which is listed in the Guiness Book of Records. The course was Originally designed by Souters in 1895 Club Details : This flat, parkland course is situated by River Tay near the famous Wade Bridge and Black Watch Monument and enjoys some splendid scenery. The new layout will test the keen golfer. Private fishing is also available How to Get There : From Perth head north on the A9 for 19 miles then take the Aberfeldy turnoff at Ballinluig, follow the signs to Aberfeldy, once you reach the town head up the main street, through the square and continue until you reach the traffic lights. Turn right at the traffic lights and down towards Wades Bridge, turn right again just before Wades Bridge and the Club is on the left hand side of the road. |
